~What's The Big Deal?! Vogue Paris December 2010/January 2011~

“The most savage controversies are about matters as to which there is no good evidence either way” -Bertrand Russell

All day I have been reading blog post after blog post about the "controversial" pictures in Tom Ford's editorial for Vogue Paris Dec 2010/Jan 2011 issue featuring little girls basically playing "dress up" in some of the most decadent fashions and accessories they will ever get to play with. Ummmmm....what's the problem?! How are these shots "controversial"?! I really don't see it... I personally think people are overreacting. And for the bloggers that have since removed the pix from their blog because they were so "inappropriate"...take a Zanax asap. You all really need to chill. These little girls don't look any different than I did when I was 6 years old and used to play dress up...well...their makeup was done better than I used to do at that age. These lil girls weren't doing anything sexual or even suggestive in these pix. Like I said, they simply look like we all did when we were that age and played dress up. Mr. Ford's inspiration was most likely Suri Cruise...

~Now These Are Beauty Queens Bitchessssss...The New Look Of The Miss USA Pageant~~

"They always say the Miss America Pageant isn't a beauty contest, it`s really a scholarship program. If that`s the case, why don`t we just put all the contestants on "Jeopardy!"and pick Miss America that way? At least you get the smartest one."
-Jay Leno

The population of the world of beauty pageants has their full back, plain white panties in a twist over the press photos of this years Miss USA contestants. They have been labeled "racy" and *gasp* "provocative"...oh dear. Lol.. The "Waking Up In Vegas" themed photos, shot by pageant photographer Fadil Berisha, were described by one publication as making the girls look like "slutty pussycat dolls"...WOW!!!! All that?!

Ok, you know what I'm gonna say...SHUT UP!!! Yeah, you heard me, if you don't like the pictures it's because you can only relate to the helmet headed, full one piece bathing suit wearing Breck girls of the past that looked like their goal in life was to win the keys to a Windstar mini-van and marry someone who could get them a membership at the local "club". These women are actually beautiful, sexy and most importantly, they look unattainable (as Miss USA should look...). Don't get it twisted this is a BEAUTY pageant and I'm glad they have dropped the facade of it being anything else. So sorry if they make some women feel inferior...get over it. If it makes you feel any better, I'm sure they were thinking about saving puppies, the Special Olympics and world peace while they were getting their lips glossed to perfection and putting on their fishnets...

Have a look at the new image of the
Miss USA Pageant:

And a special shout out to MISS CONNECTICUT!!!! Mz.Ashley Bickford! Good Luck!!!!

~Puppy Love? Beastology? Or "Art"? Hmmmm....~

"Our dogs will love and admire the meanest of us, and feed our colossal vanity with their uncritical homage." ~Agnes Repplier

When I first laid eyes on the editorial shot by Canadian photographers Leda & St Jacques on
Style Sense, I thought "Awwwww!!!! Look at the doggie...so cute!!"

And then I scrolled down...

Ummmm...is it just me or they treading dangerously close to insinuating beastology? Or is this art? Shock value advertising? I like some of the pieces in the spread, I love the purplish eye makeup, and adore the choker. It took forever for me to figure that out though...I had to see past the puppy porn. Smh...

So what do you think of the spread?
