When my favorite photographer James Johnson launched his "Shoot For Breast Cancer" promotion my first reaction was intense pride. I was so proud of JJ for remembering to give back and trying to raise funds and awareness in a fun creative way. I am especially touched by the fact that being a good man raised by a single mom he picked a disease that predominantly attacks women. I am so very proud of and amazed by my boy wonder James Johnson.
That being said, I couldn't see not supporting this project and promoting it to the best of my ability. Meaning...I had to put my tatas out there. Oh. My. Damn. You wouldn't think that an opinionated dominant woman like myself would be...shy. You're right. I'm not. However, I have to say the thought of posing for this particular shoot was a bit intimidating... BUT, after being raised by a single father because cancer stole my mother a week before my 5th birthday and having a dear aunt that is a breast cancer survivor I couldn't not do it. Besides, I figured I could have fun with it... I'm always down to wear a new tiara and my tutu was just sitting around collecting dust so... It was a go, I scheduled my shoot.
The promotion is as follows:
A photo shoot with professional photographer James Johnson. No shirt. Cover your tatas any way you feel comfortable and all other clothes/accessories are of your choosing (and your own, no wardrobe provided). You will receive 3 retouched pictures with the "Shoot For Breast Cancer" logo applied. The shoot and the 3 re-touched pix are provided for a ridiculously low $50 donation, ALL of which is donated to breast cancer research. ALL OF IT!! JJ literally doesn't make a dime off of this project, it's pure charity. And it's pure fun!! I had the best time...
