Lorraine Allard, 33, a British mother died last Friday (Jan. 18) after the ultimate sacrifice by refusing cancer treatment to give birth to a premature but healthy boy she named Liam.
Lorraine learned the devastating news that she was in the advanced stages of liver cancer when she was four months pregnant. But she insisted on waiting long enough to give her unborn son a chance to survive.
Lima was born on November 18. But two months later Lorraine died.
"If I am going to die, my baby is going to live." Lorraine told her husband Martyn.
