Keri Ann Brekne is a seventh grade teacher at Lopatcong Township Middle School (picture left, via) at Warren County, New Jersey. She resides at the 2600 block of Madison Avenue in Bethlehem of Pennsylvania. The 28-year-old social studies female teacher has been charged in two states with having sex with a 14-year-old girl student. Brekne was alleged of making sexual contacts with the teen in the teacher's home in Pennsylvania and the girl's home in Lopatcong, New Jersey.
The Lopatcong Middle School teacher was charged in Pennsylvania with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors, and sent to Northampton County Prison in Easton in lieu of $75,000 bail.
She was also charged in New Jersey with one count each of second-degree sexual assault, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.
Brekne is currently held at Northampton County Prison in Easton in lieu of $75,000 bail. Her bail in Warren County was set at $150,000.
If convicted, Keri Ann Brekne could face up to 10 years in prison. Source: NJ.com
